Saifuddin Karim, S.Pd., M.Pd.
Biography
Saifuddin Karim, originally from Ogan Ilir, South Sumatra, Indonesia, is a dedicated professional and academic in vocational mechanical engineering education.
Currently, he’s a Lecturer at Universitas Negeri Malang, teaching advanced courses like CNC, CAD/CAM, welding, machining, and heat treatment. He integrates theory with practice, supervising student projects and developing industry-relevant curricula with a focus on skill competency.
Saifuddin also has significant industrial experience, including roles as Operational Manager at PT Winangun Pangan Lestari (2022-2024), Head of 5S Implementation at CV C-MAXI, and Head of Occupational Health and Safety Implementation at PT ED Aluminium. Earlier, he was an instructor at Universitas Sriwijaya and an intern with Pertamina EP Asset 2.
He holds a national professional certification in Supply Chain Management – Procurement Division from BNSP. His research interests span TVET, manufacturing, mechanical design, corrosion control, health and safety management, and industrial standard implementation in SMEs. Saifuddin Karim consistently contributes to developing skilled engineers and advancing vocational mechanical engineering education in Indonesia.
